  Greetings Coupe Lovers,

Welcome to the Wacky World of Coupe Chatter...

                                                               THE  XJC  SIX  PACK...

Brian Hollings from XJ Auto Spares has been at it again !!!  This time they have remanufactured a range of rubbers and seals for the XJC that were previously not available.  These seals are now available in a handy six-pack from XJ Auto Spares in Sydney.  You can telephone Brian on (02) 9631 4600 for availability.

                                                               NINE  XJC 's  IN  COUPE  CENTRAL  ! ! !

' Just Jags ' in Sydney, home of the Broadspeed Racing Coupe, played host recently to nine coupes ! !
Affectionately known in Sydney as Coupe Central, Just Jags is the Jaguar workshop owned and operated by Peter Sloss.  Peter owns four...or is that five XJC 's, so there is nothing that they do not know, about repairing, restoring or tuning an XJC.  Sadly no pics were taken of this coupe gathering in Sydney's inner west.

DAIMLER  COUPES  FOUND  IN  GREECE !

We were delighted to hear recently from one of our XJC friends in Europe.  George Kathreptis, a life long Jaguar fan from Greece, had unearthed the location of two rare Daimler Sovereign coupes.

The dark blue one was abandoned after an engine bay fire. George tracked down the owner but he still wanted US$15,000 for the burnt offering !!!

The Silver one is in much better condition, thankfully, but the hot asking price is US$20,000 !!
As there were only 9 Daimler Sovereign coupes delivered to Greece, this seems to be why they are commanding such enormously high premiums.

                                                                           A  6  AND  A  12  OUT  WEST
This great looking 2 pack of coupes were once owned by long time XJC devotee Col Hayward. Col sold this pair a while back but has recently taken possession of a Signal Red XJ12C.  Hopefully we can bring you a photo of Col 's new baby soonest.

THEY  NEVER  BREAK  DOWN

Your XJC will never break down... but sometimes, and thankfully not often, your  coupe might fail to proceed.  If this should happen to you, then remember at all times to keep your dignity.  Keep that upper lip stiff and still.  You will loose points for even the slightest quiver !

                                                     DAIMLER  SOVEREIGN  RACING  KIWI  COUPE

click on pics to see this baby fly !

Been to New Zealand recently ? maybe you have seen this flying Kiwi coupe.  Driven by Paul Jenkin, a high profile driver in New Zealand Motorsport, this coupe is one of 2 XJC 's that race in the Dunlop Tyres Targa New Zealand.  Bloodhound Detective Phil Evans, is hot on the trail and will try to bring you the full story behind this great racing XJC, in the tradition of the Broadspeed Racing Coupes

XJC  GOES  UNDER  THE  KNIFE  IN  FINLAND

  from this

  to this

One of the very first XJC 's to leave the factory in 1975 is about to undergo some cosmetic surgery in Finland.  This LHD V12 was originally shipped to Belgium. It now resides in Finland, where new owner Jyri Jarvenkyla is making a striking transformation.   Originally shipped out in Greensand with Olive leather interior, this new look coupe will be finished in a Metallic green, very similar to the F1 Jaguar Racing Green.  Jyri will keep us posted with pics of the change over.

                                                                                 CALIFORNIAN  COUPE

Matt Curry from California sent us a great Christmas present....a couple of sunset shots of his stunning XJ coupe.  This 1975 XJ6C took out 2nd prize at the recent Moss Motors British Weekend in California USA.

That's it for this edition folks, if you know of any coupe news,
or an event or happening, then please let us know
.
